SHANNON SCOTT

PERSONAL BIOGRAPHY

Shannon is an independent performer who was born and raised in Ocala, Florida. Ever since she was little, she would look forward to staying up late with her dad so she could watch and imitate the characters seen on MAD TV. Shannon always had an interest in performing, but it wasn't until she first saw Batman Returns (1992), that she realized she wanted to be an actress. "After watching Michelle Pfeiffer's character change from a dorky assistant to a strong and seductive cat woman, I knew that I wanted to be like her. I wanted to act!" From that moment on, Shannon would spend countless hours trying to find out how to get started in the industry. "I never knew how to become a performer and my parents never knew how they could help, so I focused on my grades until I was out of high school. That is when I decided to take dance lessons, get involved with theatre, take classes and take action of my dreams once and for all."

Shannon never knew what job would come next, let alone what she would become known as in 2011. She was now not only an actress, but a professional Free-Diving Mermaid with a breath hold of five minutes. She states, "For me, it seems that everything stems from a movie. After I saw two of my favorite feature films Splash (1984) and The Little Mermaid (1989) I always said I wanted to be a mermaid, but I never thought it would actually happen!" Now, you might not only see Shannon acting, but gracefully performing underwater where she can become what every little girl dreams of, a real life mermaid.

Shannon's fiery spirit, determination and dedication has been the sole reason for her ongoing success. She has built her own path, finding ways to open doors even when they were bolted shut. Some of her accomplishments include, but are not limited to; performing as one of the first original free diving mermaids at Ripley's Believe it or Not Aquarium, appearing in featured MTV music videos, and winning best actress for her first feature film, "The Torment Of Laurie Ann Cullom".
